Organizations are required to make assessments to determine the capabilities of
their workers, an action that differentiates companies today from the
past. Previously the institutions were indifferent to the
performance competency in their workers. The important thing then was the
fulfillment of the established objectives.
And the worker is traditionally assessed only from their
weaknesses and errors, regardless of their achievements.
Given this attitude there were very few opportunities for
self-improvement. This is because the test results were final and gave no
chance for correction and rectification.
