Employees are the key for companies

By Raúl Gorrín.-  We don’t get tired of repeating it over and over again: The worker is the first ally of every organization and they should devote all their efforts to keep them satisfied, rather happy to work with that company. Like its customers, organizations are committed to providing the care to their employees, to sell themselves to them as the best of products.

A poll by Gallup reveals that 87 percent of workers, work only for the salary they receive, if this is true, we would have to say that companies are doing something wrong so and that’s why their staff is unmotivated. So it is urgent that the organizations take seriously what we say and begin to do something to solve this serious situation.

In addition, the organizations should follow up with their own workers a fierce campaign of marketing to conquer who should be their most valuable asset, because how will a company convince the public that its products are the best if the workers are not convinced of it? A fierce marketing campaign in the management of human resources is our approach. A strategy which the worker is considered as an internal customer to be conquered, explain the product and sell it.

What would this campaign consist of?

1)      Well, in explaining to the worker the benefits of our product and / or service, making him understand the importance of the work he carries out in the production of the product and how his work generates added value to the company.

2)      The issue is to convince the worker of the need to improve his contribution through innovation and creativity.

3)      It is very important to inquire among the employees about their needs, their aspirations, their dreams, then to agree and reconcile work with the family.

4)      Maximizing the benefits we managed to motivate the workers to make the word good and really make it into those most important allies of the business.

5)      It is known that the company is a business and not charity, but it is that you have to overcome the belief of seeing the money intended for workers as an expense and not as what it is: a great investment. And that investment should seek to motivate the worker to make a greater contribution to the organization in creativity and innovation.

6)      The departments of human resources have a great commitment in this sense and become internally a great salesman to conquer more and more allies in that army of workers who are just waiting for a little more motivation.

Business management, a secret to success

By Raúl Gorrín.-   It is fundamental in the dynamics economy market; this management refers to the capacity we have as an individual and as entrepreneurs to observe scenarios of the economy that guarantee a reasonable profitability to generate good services. This means, that it falls to us to seek economic opportunities and from this vision to mobilize capital towards them.

In a market economy, prices are defined in terms of supply and demand. It is precisely at this moment that our business management will take advantage of these opportunities, channeling the savings of the population in productive activities with high profitability as a consequence of this mismatch.

Because of this situation, the business activity that we perform, will seek to lower costs to maintain constant profitability levels. As we see, it is business management that ensures that the supply covers the demand in different productive activities also, generating procedures that make the costs constantly and they benefit the shoppers. Thanks to this activity, our capital will be oriented to produce what people demand for the satisfaction of certain needs.

Perhaps the most relevant aspect that we must consider, is the constant increase of productivity that the business conducts. This particularity was studied by a successful economist who focused on the impact of innovations on what makes the market. From his point of view, business management stands out especially for looking for innovations that are accustomed in new and better ways to produce, improvements and innovations that generate successful productive activities. Indeed, they have significantly changed our lives as successful entrepreneurs with another approach to looking for productivity.

Which involves serving as a salesman Life Insurance

"Life insurance is an asset that will provide financial compensation upon the death of the designated beneficiaries. The compensation paid by the insurance company term will not be affected by market conditions. While this is not a new idea, can be an incentive for potential customers," said Raul Gorrín, president of Seguros La Vitalicia.

For those who serve as mediators life insurance "should stop seeing as vendors," says Raul Gorrín.

In his opinion he believes that this is one of the reasons that makes it difficult to get potential customers.

"What big sellers (from other fields) have been made to overcome this obstacle has been formed through consultative selling, become partners customer thus offering a high level of service that fosters satisfaction, build loyalty and establishes relationships beneficial and lasting in time, "says Gorrín.

For Raul Gorrín, success in the insurance sector as Life Insurance salesman is to "facilitate", clearing the way for potential customers and point out what is most important to them.

"We all think about our lives and how we would like progress. But more often it is to find that we have the answers about what it takes to make this happen, "says Raul Gorrín.

Raul Gorrín: Business ethics ensures the sustainability of organizations

By Raúl Gorrín. In today's world where everything moves rapidly and in society under the impetus of communications, society is more open, multicultural and multiethnic and therefore permeable and vulnerable to things unholy castable, be fixed behavior patterns and incorporate into our lives, but also our organizations (businesses, companies or enterprises) an ethical dimension.

The problems of life at this time are not solved only from the point of techno-scientific, but require reflection and ethical-moral approach.

And these two aspects, morals and ethics, have a point of intersection in organizations that must be addressed. Social responsibility is fundamental, that which points to the common good, beyond the individual. As long as society and the global  family is well, we'll be fine and our organizations are also allowed.

The scandals that has seen the world at other times oblige society today to gaze on ethics and morals. This is how the concept of business ethics arises the need to do business framed in moral and ethics, which result in what today is known as Corporate Social Commitment.

Business ethics is imperative in these times, society demands it. Just keep the principles ensure durability over time.
Therefore the new concept of success implies the ethical and moral component companies, which should be part of the vision and mission of them.

It is unthinkable now circumscribe success in economic benefit as in past centuries only. Society needs arise that give rise to these companies requires behavior that responds to the common interest under ethical and moral standards.

Therefore, the same company that gave life to a company sue in case of any transgression. It is society that imposes corporate social responsibility that we talked about earlier.

Raúl Gorrín: Discipline as an indispensable tool for productivity

By Raul Gorrín. Employers who fail to efficiently manage their businesses require a high dose of discipline. And it is that one of the main characteristics of people who manage to make a success in their goals is precisely control of an agenda and a rigid perseverance to complete on time the responsibility.

Discipline: Set of habits and attitudes positive and orderly manner we routed to achieving results.

Constancy: Reiteration motivated behavior or action that leads us to adopt habits and positive attitudes.

Employers should have an agenda that includes all activities that are necessary and should make every effort to fulfill them flawlessly. I have learned that one must devote himself to the company, have a routine to fulfill obligations, since those who do not give too much importance to social and personal events not related to the creation of the company in production schedules fail to achieve goals .

Personal productivity is a balance between discipline and perseverance. If we learn to generate projects and organize our time, things will be done with high quality standards, or not have to be if not relevant.

Discipline and perseverance help us generate a state of constant movement of energy and overcome the obstacles presented to us.

Raúl Gorrín:The humanist entrepreneur

By Raúl Gorrín. In all our lives true happiness is only achieved when we have proper balance. Love and work are said to be the cornerstones of being human and both are very important for happiness. Yet juggling the demands of each can be difficult.

We have set up our societal system to achieve its balance with barter.  A community or another person needs a good or service and you can provide that service then you are compensated for your labor with money. This money in exchange will allow you to buy other products or services.  An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.

A teacher, as an example, goes in the her job to teach her class and she expects to get paid for it.  That is her business side. Her entrepreneurial side.  If one day her school was to tell her that she will no longer be paid then her entrepreneurial side will dictate that she not show up to work and look for some other work. A business owner must weigh taking on a job as to see how it will be to his benefit. Will this job make  him a profit? Will this job help grow the business? That is our business side that must weigh the benefits of doing a particular job against the time,  effort, cost and risk involved before deciding to accept. The entrepreneur can make a living that can increase his standard of living. This us what the business world and working is all about.

Each of us also has a humanistic side to us. That is that inner voice in us that compels us to want to do nice things for others. Let's use the  example of the teacher. The teacher has a skill that can be used to make money. She goes to work and is compensated for it. If a child needs extra help, she can be available to tutor the child and be paid as a tutor. This is being practical. Food, rent , clothes , cars, entertainment all cost money. It's providing this service that will pay for these goods. But let's says there is s child in the class that is in poor financial shape. That child because of circumstance can not read. This teacher may want to tutor this child for free. Maybe the teacher would help the family with some clothes and money.

Inside of that teacher there is a struggle. One that says, teaching us your profession. It's how you get paid. It's how you pay your bills. There is another internal struggle within the teacher that says, "I want to help this person, I do not care about the money. I like helping other people because it makes me feel good. I don't want money for it". That is this teachers humanistic side.

Every person  and every organization or business must figure out a balance between what makes us a profitable unit and what makes us human. Of course we need to make our profit but we all share this planet together. By helping others, we s how've s certain balance that gives us a satisfaction and happiness that money can not buy.(Raúl Gorrín)

Raúl Gorrín: What is social entrepreneurship?

Social entrepreneurship refers to the practice of combining innovation, resourcefulness and opportunity to address critical social and environmental challenges.

Social entrepreneurs focus on transforming systems and practices that are the root causes of poverty, marginalization, environmental deterioration and accompanying loss of human dignity.  In so doing, they may set up for-profit or not-for-profit organizations, and in either case, their primary objective is to create sustainable systems change.

The key concepts of social entrepreneurship are innovation, market orientation and systems change.

Social entrepreneurs are drivers of change. Together with institutions, networks, and communities, social entrepreneurs create solutions that are efficient, sustainable, transparent, and have measurable impact.

Social entrepreneurs are united by their ability to:

  • Adopt a mission to create and sustain social value (not just commercial value)
  • Recognise and relentlessly pursue new opportunities to serve that mission
  • Engage in a process of continuous innovation, adaptation, and learning
  • Act boldly without being limited by resources currently in hand, and
  • Exhibit a heightened sense of accountability to the constituencies served and for the outcomes created.

Raul Gorrín: Entrepreneur with a social conscience

Raul Gorrín. Socially conscious entrepreneurs are those whose business projects generate economic benefits while contributing in areas such as health, education and human development. Humanists entrepreneurs add value with their vision of your business that brings more than just a product or service. Their aim is to also contribute in a positive way to society.

Here I share with you a report of Success in a Changing World, presented by Chivas Regal magazine which states that employers are far more satisfied if allowed a social conscience. These are people who often come from communities in poverty or inequality and are sick of it. They don't just complain about the hardships of the communities like those they grew up in, they are willing to act, to make real change, make a difference.

Social entrepreneurs are real transformers. They know that things can get better. They do not wait for someone else to solve problems. They think of possible solutions and act on them.

Social entrepreneurs usually operate through startups with limited resources. They have little money and staff shortages to start and maintain their projects, so they must develop the creativity needed to do more with less.

The key to a company is making money, and this is no exception in social enterprises. Therefore, these entrepreneurs know how to create models in addition to promoting the society and contribute to the environment are profitable for its founders and investors.

Both the model and its strategies and objectives are focused on improving the quality of life of people or reduce or solve problems such as global warming and the low level of education of a community.

Being an entrepreneur is not easy; less even when the goal is as ambitious as a change in the status quo or the status of a town. So startups and companies with social or environmental approach must have strong, able to motivate and inspire the team and potential customers and investors leaders.

While a business can begin to address the needs of a local market, successful social enterprises are those that develop models that can be replicated elsewhere under different conditions.

A company with real social vocation ensures that all participants in the supply chain will win the final product and obtain benefits that favor its development. A social entrepreneur goes beyond himself. It is more than looking good for their employees, partners, customers, suppliers and investors.

While social entrepreneurship often part of the frustration and nonconformity of some members of society, so optimism is based on the belief that the market can generate positive changes. That is why a social entrepreneur sees the "glass half full"; You know that with effort and creativity real problems can be solved. They do not see problems but they see opportunities for real improvement and change for the better.

Entrepreneurs must always be willing to take risks (financial, personal, etc.) to launch and maintain your project. This quality is probably more entrenched among social entrepreneurs, who know that the challenges are great. They have an awareness that with effort, dedication and passion anything is possible. Raúl Gorrín.
