Productivity aspects

By Raúl Gorrín.-  In productivity there are some aspects that are essential to achieve it, so you need to be clear in such a way that the precious objective is materialized promptly, “what you work on?” “Your level of efficiency” and “what you will do later”. When you know about these three aspects, then productivity will be present as you wish.

·         Review your routines and determine if they are useful to you:

1.      Your routine, your way of working.
2.      Take a look at how to evaluate your tools, devices, the applications and programs that your computer has.
3.      Observe your routine checking emails, how it does and at what time.
4.      Think about how you carry out your reflections on your work, your product and / or service and your goals.
5.      Observe everything and you will be able to specify if you have created routines that you have finished normalizing and have made them vital part of the way to carry out your work.
6.      You will realize of it when you stop doing it or because of some circumstance changes and the procedure is done in a different way, then you feel that everything is wrong or not going well.
7.      What you need to do is to identify in detail your habits and routines and ask yourself if there is a better way to do it than the current one.

·         Where do you carry out your work?
1.      Your workplace is a determining factor for many people. So check how effective is what you do in the place that you do it.
2.      Maybe you need to change your workplace, the atmosphere, the elements and tools to improve productivity.
3.      Ask yourself simple things like if you have what you need and if you can find it easily.
4.      Changing your context may be what you need to be more productive. Proceed to identify the context in which you work best. Try changing scenarios and tools.

·         Who is that person that you spend a lot of your time?
1.      It is necessary to establish how much people with whom you regularly share your time help or delay your tasks.
2.      Make a list of five people that you spend the most time with during the week and evaluate each of them in relation to your work and your productivity. Those who accompany you may not be your best company to achieve the much desired productivity.
