Don’t allow anxiety control your team work

  


By Raúl Gorrín.-    What is it anxiety? It is an anticipated and involuntary response that the organism has to stimulate. This response is accompanied by an unpleasant feeling or by the tension’s somatization that the person feels. Anxiety arises when the person feels threatened by real or imaginary causes for these reason, it becomes very difficult to manage the stress and all the emotions that this causes.

     The issue becomes complicated when someone has to deal with their own emotions, stress and anxiety, but also trying to deal with the feelings felt by the members of their team. This is part of the functions that should be assumed by the one who takes the direction of the group in an organization. But how can we do it? How to help the people who make up your team to manage their feelings of stress, anxiety or exhaustion? One way is to focus on the growth and development of your staff, to work with them, using the tools that science and the different disciplines put at our disposal like mindfulness.

     What’s more, promote the discipline of physical exercise, such as walking, jogging or going to the gym. Of course, you have to flex your working hours, implement measures such as working for objectives. Also, promote breaks to give the opportunity to recover. Allow them to disconnect when they are not working. Encouraging your team is the foundation of a high performance team.
